ADA Cottage - Resident Agreement

The Resident Agreement After accepting a place at ADA Cottage and completion of your application, the Manager will offer you a resident agreement. A resident agreement is a legal agreement between you and ADA Cottage, which sets out the terms of your residency, and the rights and responsibilities of both yourself and ADA Cottage.

The resident agreement includes:

  • The type of care provided
  • The circumstances by which you may be asked to leave ADA Cottage
  • The amount of the accommodation bond or charge and the daily care fees

There are specific care and services which must be provided for all residents. For further information on the care and services provided please refer to the Quality of Care Principles 1997, which can be accessed through ADA Cottage.

Any variation to the agreement can only be made with the both your and ADA Cottages consent.

Before signing the agreement

If you choose to sign the resident agreement, you have 21 days in which to do so if an accommodation bond or accommodation charges are applicable. During this time show the agreement to your family, financial advisor or solicitor.

ADA Cottage recommends that you seek advice on the resident agreement, as it is a legally binding document, which sets out what ADA Cottage will provide for you, as well as you obligations to ADA Cottage.

If, after signing the agreement accepting a place at ADA Cottage you change your mind, you should advise the Manager in writing within 14 days. If you have paid any amounts under the agreement, ADA Cottage will refund you, less your care fees up to the time you have withdrawn from the agreement.
