ADA Cottage - Admission To ADA Cottage

Entering ADA Cottage

Living in ADA Cottage means living with many new people under one roof, and getting used to our staff helping or assisting you with some of the everyday things that you may have previously done for yourself.

When living in ADA Cottage you keep all of your rights as a citizen and will be able to maintain your personal privacy. Family and friends can visit you, of course, and you will be able to come and go as your health and abilities allow.

You will continue to have the right to maintain control over personal aspects of your daily life, as well as your financial affairs and possessions, and to have a say in your living arrangements.

If you are offered a place at ADA Cottage and you accept the place, you will need to discuss your resident agreement with the Manager of ADA Cottage.

Planning for your care

In addition to your Aged Care Assessment, it is a good idea to make a list of your care needs before you commence discussions with ADA Cottage. You should also discuss your needs with your carer or family members to make sure that you have thought of everything.

Your carer and your family have the right to continue to play a significant role in your life at ADA Cottage, if you would like them to.

Security of tenure

When you accept entry to ADA Cottage your place is secure, but there are some circumstances under which you may leave, or may be asked to leave ADA Cottage. This will be discussed at entry and written into your agreement with us.

The resident agreement

A resident agreement is a legal agreement between you and ADA Cottage, and will be offered prior to the day you move in.
